Specially trained for basic engineering, these soldiers are also equipped with firearms and swords. They are used mainly for erecting fortifications at strategic locations.

Sappers can build blockhouses, towers, kronwerks, forts and fortresses.

They can also place barrel charges to blow up enemy buildings.
